Welcome back to this week’s #ShopLocalSaturday; where I highlight local eats and shops that I have visited. This week is featuring Boon European Bistro in Hell’s Kitchen!
I was on my way to another networking event, and I got to the area quite early; so I decided to grab a bite to eat. Using my SHOP app; there were quite a few spots close to me that I can hit up. As Boon is a place that has a mix of European cuisine, and that I rarely have European food; I went to Boon to try out what they had to offer.
It’s a little difficult locating Boon because it’s located on the side of the street, instead on the main block. Inside the place; even if it seems small, the decor gives off an elegant feel, with a tableset and tablecloth.
I had orginally wanted to try the chicken marsala portobello, but they didn’t have it available. Rereading the menu again quickly, I picked the pork tenderloin. For the side, I was in conflict on what to get. I asked the staff on her recommendation, and she offered the polenta.
What I enjoyed the most was that the pork was very juicy, and tender. Everytime I cut a piece off, there was juice coming off, and each bite was flavorful.
Having polenta for the first time was pretty good. It was made up of a cornmeal with sour cream covered with feta cheese. In my opinion, I could have done without the cheese, but that’s because I try to go cheese-free.
To end, I would recommend Boon European Bistro to those who’s looking for a spot that has an intimate setting and a dinner date feel to it.
As a bonus; if you do wanna get the most bang for your buck; I’ll leave you with the following options below with my links, so that you can earn cash back on what you order while you’re visiting Boon European Bistro.
Know of any other local shops that you enjoy going to that should be highlighted? Leave a comment and let me know!
And as always,
Remember to always support your local establishments! They are a part of your community!
Until next time,
